Yuhanxiao (Maggie) Ma is an object-fascinated research artist. Her work revolves around the social and critical implications of technology, exploring how technological innovations and societal structures influence our lived experiences. She uses a range of media, including 3D fabrication, multimedia installations, crafting (casting and molding), and performance art.

Her process involves in-depth research on specific topics, which she then presents through various media to spark discussion. Influenced by her engagement with the phenomenological tradition in Western continental philosophy, each of her pieces encourages a critical examination of the established norms and structures that govern our perception of our experiences.

Ma's notable residencies include the DOM Art Residence (Barcelona) and SVA's Bio Art Residency (New York). Her work has been exhibited in New York's TheBLANC Gallery, Gallatin Galleries, and internationally in Barcelona and Shanghai. She is currently in a year-long Artist-in-Residence program at Gallatin WetLab.
