Reimagine Rest Energy: Digital Fabrication of Tension and Trust
“Marina and Ulay” is a project that reimagined and appropriated Marina Abramović and Ulay’s iconic performance “Rest Energy” through digital fabrication, transforming the original bow and arrow into symbolic objects like broken chains, ropes, and a one-way mirror. This reinterpretation not only recontextualizes a historic art performance, but also reframes the dynamic tension in their relationship, exploring themes of restraint, freedom, and power imbalance.
